Interesting Post-Peak article

An interesting article that canvasses a wide range of post-peak views, from Transition USA to Life after the Oil Crash. Amidst all the gloom this quot amde me laugh:

These people must reprioritize their value systems now and quit “waddling through Wal-Mart.”

I can see myself in that mirror – it’s time to really question what we’re buying, and why, and how we’d survive without it.

And then start doing without it now.

i feel this, and what a difficult task its going to be not only provide the necessary nutrition ,especially through winter but to fend off those who will take and destroy your efforts and your life. The knowledge of edible wild plants ,roots and building simple traps seems more realistic because of the chaos . those who wander with nothing but knowledge will be spared, unless the dire resort of cannibalism ensues.

I think that’s darker even than my view! But it does reinforce the importance of doing this together – no family is an island in this.
